Community Groups
Community Groups at FBC exist to deepen our fellowship with one another and to reach our community in a new way.
Community Groups are smaller groups of 8-20 people meet on a regular basis in various member’s homes throughout the community. These groups are in addition to our Sunday morning and Wednesday classes, but they differ in intimacy and content. At the same time, Community Groups also provide time together to develop a strategy to be a witness to our local communities.
Community groups are typically around two hours long with a time devoted to sharing a meal, Bible study, and prayer.
We currently have 6 community groups meeting all throughout the city of Fairview. For a map of the community groups, meeting information or group descriptions, send us an e-mail and we’ll be happy to put you in touch with the leaders, as well as answer any other questions you might have.
Frequently Asked Questions

We have 6 community groups that meet throughout Fairview. Each group has an assigned leader and typical host home, but groups can often vary where they gather. Some will split the meetings between two host homes, or sometimes meet at a local restaurant for a couples night. For a list and map of all nearby community groups, email the church offices.

Kids are important to us at FBC. So we, as much as possible, include our kids in our groups. This takes a lot of creativity and each group approaches this differently. Often times, an older child or teenager will keep an eye on the kids while the adults have the Bible study.
Once you contact a group leader, feel free to discuss how they integrate their kids at their community group. Your whole family is welcome in our groups and at FBC.

Not necessarily.
Once you get involved in a group, your group leader can help determine if anything is needed for your group time. What is needed for your group depends on what your group’s plans are. Ask your leader!
